This year, once again, the Poldi Pezzoli Museum (www.museopoldipezzoli.it) takes part to the Salone del Mobile events with the exhibition “FARE LUME. Candles between Art and Design”.
Seen and felt as an ancient times object/instrument, the candle maintains, also in a technological age as ours, its characteristic, unique and spiritual, of warming up and making a controlled and harmless light through fire.
Through the candle topic, seen from different points of view, Architect Beppe Finessi (Politecnico di Milano), the curator of this exhibition, suggests an historical-critical study on the relationship between design and contemporary arts.

About 40 works will be exhibited among design items, candles and candlesticks, and contemporary artworks, including painting, sculpture and installation.
The exhibition will be opened to public from April 3 to May 21 2012
